Egypt Advances 3 Spots in Best Countries Report

The Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) said that Egypt advanced in the U.S. News and World Report 2021 Best Countries Report and Ranking, as it ranked 33rd out of 78 countries around the world, compared to 36th in 2020.

It has also advanced in most sub-rankings; including the heritage sub-ranking, in which it ranked 8th after its ranking stabilized at 13th place during the past two years, thanks to recent archaeological discoveries.

The 2021 Best Countries report and rankings are based on how global perceptions define countries in terms of a number of qualitative characteristics, impressions that have the potential to drive trade, travel and investment and directly affect national economies.

The report covers perceptions of 78 nations, depending on 10 sub rankings
