The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) board of directors, headed by Amr El Ganainy, has held on Saturday a meeting with the Pharaohs' new head coach Hossam El-Badry.

El-Badry told the EFA's board members his plan for the future of the Egyptian national team. The EFA asked the former Al Ahly head coach to present his suggestion, concerning the formation of his technical staff within two days.

"EFA will present the the new coach in a press conference later," EFA spokesman, Osama Ismail told SEE

On Thursday, September 19, El-Badry was named as the new head coach to succeed Javier Aguirre, who was sacked by the Former EFA board of directors following the Pharaohs’ exit from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations after they suffered a shocking defeat by South Africa 0-1 at Cairo Stadium.

In August, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced that the upcoming coach for the Pharaohs would be an Egyptian.

It is worth mentioning that the Federation International Football Association appointed on Tuesday, August 20 a normalization committee to run EFA.

FIFA’s decision came after the recent resignation of the Egyptian Football Association President Hany Abo Rida, as well as the entire broad members.

The committee included Amr Youssef Hassan El Ganainy as a chairman, Gamal Mohamed Ali as a vice president, Sahar Abdel Hak Ahmed, Mohamed Fadl Zahran, and Ahmed Abdallah Rady as members.

The Pharaohs were picked in Group G alongside Kenya, Togo, and Comoros for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as they will kick off their adventure against Kenya on Monday, November 11 in Egypt.
