Tarek Shawki, Minister of Education in Egypt confirmed that there are absolutely no problems in school feeding in Kafr El-Shaikh, Asyut, and Qena.

The Minister of Education said in “Sada El Balad” television that he has coordinated with the directorates’ administrators in the three governorates. As a result, they discovered there were no cases of food poisoning.

He added that there is not a single child that received a treatment in hospitals, and the numbers that have been traded is not true.

The minister stressed that all reports claimed there was infections in Kafr El-Shaikh, Asyut, and Qena, pointing out that it can be confirmed this claim through the governors, Ministry of Health, and directorates’ administrators.

The minister also said that Asyut has 700 thousand beneficiaries of meals, and the project covers daily more than 12 million students. Egypt produces these meals in high quality and packaging.

He demonstrated that someone wanted a monetary compensation from this claim.

He also called for not using the word “poising” unless there was an official report from the Ministry of Health.
