The Jordanian Seismological Observatory, affiliated with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, recorded an earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale in the Jordan Valley near the Dead Sea on Thursday.
The head of the observatory, Engineer Ghassan Sweidan, stated in a press release on Thursday that the earthquake occurred at 10:00 AM local time in the Jordanian capital, Amman, at a depth of 17 kilometers.
