Albanian singer Dua Lipa has shared the first single off the “Barbie” soundtrack: a disco-pop number titled “Dance the Night.”
The track was released alongside a pink music video featuring clips of the movie and a cameo from the movie's director Greta Gerwig.
The first artists on the “Barbie” soundtrack were revealed on Thursday: Tame Impala, Haim, Charli XCX, and Ice Spice are on the lineup along with Karol G, Lizzo, and more.
Mark Ronson executive-produced the album, which also features Ryan Gosling, who plays the original Ken, along with fresh talent Ava Max, Dominic Fike, Gayle, Fifty Fifty, Kali, and the Kid Laroi.
Although Aqua’s manager previously said that the group and their famous song will not feature in the movie, “Barbie World” is billed to the team of Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice… featuring Aqua.

Moreover, Dua will also be featured in the upcoming live-action film. It also co-stars Margot Robbie, Issa Rae, Nicola Coughlan, Hari Nef, Kate McKinnon, Emma Mackey, and more as different versions of the doll and various Kens, including Simu Liu.
Other surprise stars include Michael Cera, America Ferrera, Helen Mirren, Will Ferrell, and more.
Gerwig directed the project from a script she co-wrote with Noah Baumbach.
Robbie is also producing the movie through her LuckyChap production company alongside LuckyChap’s Tom Ackerley.
The movie will also be produced by Mattel Films’ Robbie Brenner and Paddington’s David Heyman.
The Barbie project dates back all the way to 2009, with Sony originally lining up Diablo Cody to write the script in 2014. Two years later, Amy Schumer was cast for the titular role from a script by Hilary Winston.
However, the project remained in development until Warner Bros. and Robbie picked it up in 2018, originally aiming for Patty Jenkins on directing duties.
"Barbie" is set to hit theaters on July 21.
