A drone struck Kuwait International Airport on Saturday, causing minor injuries to several workers and limited material damage, Kuwait’s Civil Aviation Authority said.
The incident occurred amid rising regional military tensions. Authorities did not immediately disclose the origin of the drone or confirm the party responsible for the attack.
Earlier, the Kuwaiti Interior Ministry denied social media claims that a missile had fallen on a major roadway, stressing that the reported explosion was actually caused by a traffic accident that led to the burning of several vehicles.

The ministry warned that spreading rumors could undermine public security and mislead the public, adding that emergency teams responded to the accident promptly.
The Kuwaiti Cabinet said national air defenses had successfully “repelled the aggression” in accordance with established operational rules of engagement.
Officials reiterated that the continuation of military activities in the region threatens regional stability and security, without providing further operational details about the drone incident.
