Dozens of Palestinians were suffocated with tear gas today, Friday, during clashes between Palestinians and the Israeli occupation forces in the vicinity of Jabal Sabih in the town of Beita, south of Nablus.

According to the Palestinian news agency (WAFA), the official in charge of the settlement file in the northern West Bank, Ghassan Daghlas, said that the confrontations erupted after Friday prayers, and the occupation soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets, sound bombs, and gas bombs at the citizens.

It is noteworthy that Jabal Sobeih witnesses weekly confrontations with the occupation forces, which seek to control it in favor of settlement expansion.

On the other hand, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein Al-Sheikh, described the meeting with President Mahmoud Abbas with the American envoys as “frank and clear” and said that he demanded American intervention to stop Israel’s actions.

In a tweet posted on Twitter, Sheikh added that Abbas demanded urgent intervention from the US administration to immediately stop Israel’s escalatory measures in the Palestinian territories.
