Doctors Advice Queen Elizabeth II to Take 2 Week Rest

Queen Elizabeth II was advised by her doctors to have a two-week rest; she was prevented from carrying out any official visits, Buckingham Palace announced in a statement on Friday.

Buckingham Palace's statement said: "Her Majesty's doctors have advised that she should continue to rest for at least the next two weeks. The doctors said that Her Majesty can continue to undertake light, desk-based duties during this time, including some virtual audiences, but not to undertake any official visits."

This announcement came a few days after the 95-year-old monarch's short stay at the hospital for having "preliminary investigations."

Therefore, the Palace asserted that her Majesty is fine, and she has recorded a speech for COP26 as she was prevented for make any official engagements.

She cancelled her North Ireland tour upon medical advice to rest for a few days, Buckingham Palace revealed.

The Palace added in its statement that the Queen “in good spirits and is disappointed that she will no longer be able to visit Northern Ireland, where she had been due to undertake a series of engagements.”
