The best diet to lose weight…? We have all fell for this trick at least once before if not more. However, the truth is there is no such a thing as the best diet because the best diet is the one you can actually stay on.
Therefore, I am advising you to stop starving yourself following these ridiculous diet plans and start making your own custom plan by following these simple tips
• Eat more protein
By increasing your protein intake, you automatically feel fuller and thus, have less cravings (high protein diets reduce cravings and obsessive food thoughts by 60 %.). Not to mention that high protein intake boosts your metabolism by 80 to 100 calories a day
.•Eat more vegetables
It is no secret that vegetables are good for you especially low-carb vegetables like broccoli and cucumber and leafy green vegetables like spinach and kale. You can load your plate with these vegetables without any fear or guilt seeing, as they’re full of minerals, vitamins and fibers that make them really filling. In addition, they are low in calories and thus, not “fattening.”
• Try to cut back on sugars and starches (carbs.)
Now that does not mean to boycott all kinds of sugars and carbs but to try to reduce your refined sugar intake.
Replace your “bad carbs” that are overly processed and lack any nutrient value like white bread and pasta with “good carbs” that are full of fiber and other nutrients like oats, potatoes, whole wheat bread and fruit.
A well-balanced plate consists of 50% Fruits and vegetables, 25% Proteins and 25% Carbs.
The bottom line is to have a well-balanced diet and to stay full. And remember it is okay to indulge from time to time.
