The Malaysian authorities announced that the death toll from a landslide in a camp has risen to 25, including eight children.

Officials said, according to Radio Monte Carlo Doualiya, today, Wednesday, that "the collapse occurred while more than ninety people were sleeping, most of them in the camp located near a mountain resort."

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim visited the camp and announced financial aid to families whose members were killed or injured in the landslide.

Malaysia is constantly witnessing landslides after heavy rains, which usually fall at the end of each year.
