The President of the House of Representatives of Cyprus, Annita Demetriou, will embark on an official visit to Egypt from February 23 to 26, 2025, following an invitation from Dr. Hanafy El Gebaly, Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives. The visit aims to strengthen parliamentary relations and cooperation between the two nations.

The Cypriot delegation will visit institutions of the Greek community in Egypt, engaging with representatives to discuss cultural, social, and economic matters concerning the Greek diaspora. This initiative underscores Cyprus' commitment to strengthening historical and cultural connections with Greek communities abroad.
Demetriou will be accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, including MPs George Karoulas, Christos Christofides, and Pavlos Mylonas, along with senior officials of the House of Representatives. She is set to return to Cyprus on the afternoon of February 26, 2025.
