Culture Minister Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem presented today a report about the full activities of the 29th Arabic Music Festival and Conference (AMFC) during meeting of the cabinet headed by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.

Abdel Dayem asserted that organizing the festival under critical conditions, reflected the strategy of the state in preserving Egypt's artistic and cultural position. In addition, it delivered an important message to the world about Egypt's efforts in preserving its identity, according to her.

Furthermore, the festival succeeded in exporting a magnificent and civilized image to the world and many international and national agencies were interested in covering the events of the festival. Therefore, it reflects Egyptian arts effectiveness in promoting tourism regionally and internationally. She also added that the festival sent various messages to raise the Egyptians' collective awareness.

She underscored the festival's insistence on applying the required medical measures of protection against COVID-19 including depending on the open-air theaters such as the newly-founded Fountain Theater in addition to using only 50% of the venue's capacity to follow social distancing codes.

The Festival’s activities took place between 1 and 10 November in various venues including the Cairo Opera House different stages, Alexandria Opera House, and Damnhour Opera House.

The festival’s program included 29 concerts, and the participation of 93 musicians, mainly from 5 Arab countries: Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Iraq, and Jordan.
