Culture Min. Meets Serbian Labor Min. to Discuss Cultural Opportunities

At the beginning of her visit to Belgrade, Dr. Inas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture met Zoran Georgevic, Minister of Labor to discuss cultural investment opportunities between Cairo and Belgrade.

Abdel Dayem was accompanied by Amr Al-Goueili, the Egyptian Ambassador to Serbia, Dr. Haitham Al-Haj Ali, Head of The Egyptian General Book Authority and Hiba Youssef, Head of Foreign Cultural Relations.

Abdel Dayem expressed the importance of Egypt participation as the guest of honor in an international cultural and intellectual forum such as Belgrade Book Fair, whose slogan carries the head of Nefertiti as a symbol of this Edition Egypt.

The Egyptian minister is looking forward to create an intellectual partnership to enrich the cultural investment between Egypt and Serbia.

She also appreciated the good hospitality and praised the visit of the Minister of Labor to the residence of the orchestra of “Al- Nour Wa Al- AMal“ Ensemble; she dedicated him the book titled “Queens of Egypt “ written by Dr. Mamdouh Damati, which is the first publication of the Egyptian General Book Authority translated from Arabic into Serbian language.

On his part, Georgevic appreciated the cultural and artistic role that Egypt presents to his country, affirming that this book fair is the most important cultural events in Serbia; it is similar to athletes Olympics.

Georgevic pointed out the importance of Egyptian participation as the guest of honor of Belgrade International Book Fair.

The fair is attended by thousands and considered a new start to build stronger relations between the two countries, as culture and arts have a direct impact on the two nations.

The Serbian minister explained that education and culture are one of the most important development axes in Serbia.
