COVID-19: Egypt's Health Ministry Launches Auto-Reply Service

The Egyptian Ministry of Health launched on Saturday an automatic response service through the "WhatsApp" application to respond to all inquiries regarding the novel coronavirus.

The service is activated as soon as the number 01553105105 is saved in the phone's contacts, or via a link on the Internet https://wa.me/201553105105.

After sending the word “Hi” in a message on the "WhatsApp" application, it is possible to start benefiting from the new service.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health indicated that it offers this service for free and it’s available to all residents inside Egypt, in order to provide answers regarding the most important inquiries about the coronavirus, known as COVID-19, throughout the day.

The Ministry of Health indicated in a press statement that the "WhatsApp" auto messaging service will serve as a central source for accurate and reliable information that is constantly being updated on the corona virus causing COVID-19 in order to provide quick responses.

The Egyptian health statement said that this service was built through the global Infobipe communication platform with the "WhatsApp" application, as it allows bilateral talks, by sending messages to anyone who activated this service, in addition to directing it to sources on the Internet, to obtain more the information.

The Egyptian Health Ministry reported on Friday 95 new coronavirus cases, all of them are Egyptians.

“This upped the total number of confirmed cases to 1,794” Khaled Megahed, the ministry’s spokesman said in a statement.

As many as 17 more deaths were confirmed; raising the total number to 135.

“Up to 384 coronavirus patients have recovered so far,” the spokesman said.

” Up to 36 Egyptians were among the recovered patients today,” he added.
