Media Center of Egypt's Council of Ministers dined on Thursday the cancellation of study in school during Ramadan.

Different outlets claimed that the study is going to be canceled in Ramadan, noting that the grades of the last exams, held in March, will be regarded to be the final results in the second term.

The Council has contacted the Ministry of Education, which denied the news, affirming that those claims are totally false.

Moreover, the council stressed that study will continue and exams will be held every month in due time.

On his part, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has previously given students the privilege to choose the most appropriate method for their children to continue their study in light of COVID-19 pandemic

“Parents can choose the traditional way of learning, which means attending schools, or E-learning, which is taking classes online from home without going to school,” Sisi affirmed.

In the same vein, citizens took to Twitter with hashtags, calling on the President to permit continuing study online from home during this difficult circumstances due to the pandemic.

On the other hand, Egypt reported 778 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing total infections since last year to 206,510

In its daily briefing, the health ministry also reported 43 deaths to bring the death toll since the outbreak to 12,253, adding that  432 patients have been discharged from hospitals following recovery, bringing recoveries to 157,006
