Reuters statistics showed on Monday that more than 114.04 million people were infected with the coronavirus worldwide, including 2633550 deaths.
The COVID-19 cases have been recorded in more than 210 countries and regions since the outbreak in December 2019.
Last month, the White House coronavirus task force has warned local authorities of a new strain of the virus that was identified in the United States, amid concerns that the mutation of the virus will impede the work of new vaccines and President Joe Biden’s plans to combat the pandemic.
