Chinese President's Visit to Moscow Postponed due to Covid-19

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied media reports about Chinese President Xi Jinping's refusal to visit Russia, describing  these reports as "baseless."

Peskov added the truth is not like that, these reports are not true at all. He stressed that the truth is that some restrictions imposed in China due to the pandemic are still in place. This is completely normal, and this should be treated with understanding.

President Vladimir Putin has an invitation to visit China and  President Xi Jinping has an invitation to visit Russia.

“If the easing of restrictions allows for this, all visits will take place”, Peskov said.

Earlier, some media outlets had reported that the Chinese President had rejected the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to visit Russia due to the Coronavirus pandemic, according to the German news agency.
