The American Cultural Center in Cairo has announced a special celebration to launch the "Central Information System for the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities: Data Rescue, Training, and Needs Assessment Project," funded by the U.S. government's CIPAIG grant.
The event will take place on Tuesday, September 17, at the Coptic Museum from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with the participation of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, and the American Research Center in Egypt.
The project aims to support the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in preserving archaeological data and enhancing technical capacities through training programs and needs assessments for professionals in the heritage sector.
The event is expected to attract officials and experts in the fields of archaeology and heritage conservation, where a detailed presentation will be made on the project's objectives and its importance in supporting digitalization efforts and protecting Egypt’s cultural heritage.
