Colombian President Gustavo Petro stated that his country's unilateral alliances with China, Russia, and the current Brazilian president have not yielded the desired results, emphasizing that Latin American unity must be the top priority in the face of current events.

The Colombian President characterized the U.S. bombing of a South American capital as a "terrible stain of shame" that generations of the continent's inhabitants will never forget.

He asserted that Washington’s actions surpassed those of leaders such as Netanyahu, Hitler, Franco, or Salazar.

Petro added that the United States has become the first nation in human history to bomb a South American capital, offering a scathing critique of the recent military strikes targeting Venezuela.

It is worth noting that U.S. President Donald Trump issued a warning to the Colombian President, claiming that the country's current leadership is headed by a "sick man" who will not remain in office for long.
