The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicted that the country will witness a decline in temperature and cold weather, during daylight hours on Wednesday.
Cold weather is foreseen to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt and Northern Coasts. It is also expected that warm weather will prevail in South Sinai and South Upper Egypt, while will be more moderate in North Upper Egypt.
Furthermore, Mahmoud Shaheen, Director of the Weather Forecast Department at EMA, said that moderate rain will hit intermittently in El Salloum, Marsa Matrouh, Alexandria, Rashid, Baltim, Damietta, Port Said and Al-Arish.
Light rain is also predicted to prevail intermittently in Cairo. Light to moderate rain is expected to hit Kafr El Sheikh, Beheira, Dakahlia, Sharqia, Gharbia and Menoufia.
Winds will be active in Northern Coasts, South Sinai and North Upper Egypt.
It is also foreseen that the country will witness mist on some agricultural roads close to water areas, leading to and from Cairo. The mist will also prevail in Lower Egypt and North Upper Egypt.
There will also be a disruption of maritime navigation west of the Mediterranean Sea with waves will range between 2.75 to 3.25 meters and in the Red Sea with waves will range between 2.5 to 3.5 meters.
Extremely cold weather is predicted to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, Northern Coasts, North and South Upper Egypt, at night.
Meanwhile, the atmosphere will be cold in South Sinai.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 18C in Cairo, 17C in Alexandria, 16C in Marsa Matruh, 21C in Sohag, 23C in Qena and 26C in Aswan.
