Cold Weather Prevails across Egypt on Friday, Cairo 17°C

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts cold weather to prevail in most parts of the country during Friday's daylight hours.

Moderately warm weather is also predicted to hit South Sinai and South Upper Egypt.

Meteorologist also predicts that the country will experience also a decline in temperature by 3 to 4 degrees.

Wind will be active occasionally across the country, stirring sand and dust from North of the country to Cairo and North Upper Egypt.

Light to moderate rainfall, sometimes thunderstorms, will prevail intermittently in the Northwest Coast and North Lower Egypt.

It is also predicted that maritime navigation will be disrupted in Port Said, Rafah, El Arish, with winds averaging 40 to 50 km/h and waves ranging between 2 to 3 meters.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate to turbulent, ranging between 2 to 2.5 meters in height with southwest surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters in height varying between southwest and northwest surface winds.

Cold weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt in the early hours and at the end of the nighttime.

Frost is expected in some North Upper Egypt, Central Sinai, and Western Sahara regions.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 17°C in Cairo, 18°C in Alexandria, 17°C in Marsa Matruh, 19°C in Sohag, 20°C in Qena, and 21°C in Aswan.
