The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts cold weather to prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, North Coast, and North Upper Egypt, during daylight hours on Friday.

Moderately cold weather is also predicted to hit South Sinai and South Upper Egypt.

It is also foreseen that Egypt will continue to experience a slight drop in temperature in most parts and rain of varying intensity hitting various areas from the North of the country to Cairo and North Upper Egypt.

Wind will be active in the North Coast—making the air “feel” colder.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate to turbulent waves, ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 meters in height with northwest surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be low to moderate, ranging between 1 and 1.75 meters with northwest surface winds.

Moreover, most parts of the country will experience extremely cold weather at nighttime. Frost is also witnessed in Central Sinai, North Upper Egypt, and New Valley Governorate.

Moreover, meteorologists expect a potential snowfall in Saint Catherine.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 16°C in Cairo, 16°C in Alexandria, 15°C in Marsa Matruh, 17°C in Sohag, 17°C in Qena, and 18°C in Aswan.
