Chinese Foreign Minister (FM) Wang Yi and his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi have pledged to maintain close communication, deepen the construction of a community with a shared future between the two countries, and work together to protect regional stability and prosperity.
This was reported by the Chinese news agency Xinhua during the meeting between Wang and Retno on the sidelines of the ASEAN+3 Foreign Ministers' Meeting, which includes the ten ASEAN member states along with China, Japan, and South Korea, held in the Laotian capital of Vientiane.
The Chinese Foreign Minister briefed his Indonesian counterpart on the recent reconciliation dialogue between Palestinian factions and the signing of the Beijing Declaration.
Retno expressed her appreciation for China's efforts to promote reconciliation and unity among Palestinians, indicating Indonesia's readiness to make positive efforts to implement the Beijing Declaration.
