Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated that cooperation with Egypt serves as an exemplary model for relations between China and Arab countries, as well as African nations.
Speaking at a press conference held this afternoon, Mao Ning noted that next year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between Egypt and China, highlighting the fruitful cooperation witnessed over those years across various fields.
She pointed out that among the most prominent milestones of this cooperation were the successful construction of the Iconic Tower, the tallest tower in Africa, in the New Administrative Capital, as well as the establishment of Africa’s first Light Rail Transit (LRT) system and Africa’s first vaccine stockpile manufacturing facility.
Moreover, the spokesperson praised the cooperation in the Suez Canal region, where she mentioned that 180 Chinese companies are operating. She added that there are numerous other examples demonstrating the success of Egyptian-Chinese relations.
Mao Ning expressed her belief that the coming year will serve as a launchpad and a starting point for cooperation in the next decade, and stated that she looks forward to the promising future between the two countries.
