China Ready to Work with Africa to Help Resolve Ukraine Crisis

China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said her country's authorities are ready to unite efforts with African countries and other countries to help the political process of settling the Ukrainian conflict.

"China is ready to cooperate with all relevant parties, including African countries, in order to create favorable conditions for a political settlement of the Ukraine crisis," she added in a press briefing today, Tuesday while commenting on the African peace initiative.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with a delegation of leaders of African countries that included South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Senegalese President Macky Sall, Comoros President Osman Ghazali, and Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema.

The African delegation previously met in Kyiv with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

It includes the African initiative to resolve the Ukrainian crisis, which consists of 10 points. It concerns security guarantees, the free movement of grain across the Black Sea, the release of prisoners of war, and the start of negotiations as soon as possible.
