China has successfully launched six satellites from the Jilin-1 series, designed for remote sensing of the Earth, according to the People's Daily.
The satellites were deployed using a CZ-2D carrier rocket at 12:11 PM Beijing time (7:11 AM Moscow time) from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi province.
This launch of the Wideband-02B communication satellites is part of China’s efforts to solidify its position as a formidable space power, aligning with the directives of the Chinese Communist Party.
The deployment is expected to enhance China's capabilities in satellite communications and remote sensing.
China is actively advancing its national space program, focusing on the development of satellites and technologies for meteorology, communications, and navigation, all aimed at lunar exploration.
The country has ambitious plans, targeting 100 launches in 2024, marking a significant step in its quest for greater space capabilities.
