Shenzhen, a major tech hub in China’s Guangdong province, has unveiled a new incentive plan to support the artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics industry.
The initiative includes financial incentives totaling 4.5 billion yuan ($630 million) to drive innovation and accelerate growth in the sector.
According to a report by China Daily, the new policies will offer financial aid covering up to 60% of computing costs, with a maximum subsidy of 10 million yuan per company.
Additionally, the government will provide vouchers to support computing models, databases, and dedicated funding for AI applications across various industries.
As part of its broader strategy, Shenzhen aims to integrate AI and robotics into major science and technology projects while fostering collaboration between industrial sectors, universities, and research institutions.
