Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk Comments on Failing Doping Test

On Monday, Ukrainian player Mykhailo Mudryk, who plays for English Premier League Chelsea, commented on the decision to suspend him after losing in doping tests, and the possibility of the presence of a banned substance in his blood. The player could be suspended for a long period.

Chelsea club confirmed in an official statement that it had received a confirmation from the English Football Association, regarding the positive test of a steroid sample taken from Mudryk contained a banned substance.

So, it is expected that the player will be suspended from participating with Chelsea temporarily.

The club needs to take legal measures and wait for the final decision of the English Association.

On his side, Mudryk said on his social media platform: “I can confirm that I have received notification that the sample I provided to the FA contains a banned substance.”

He added: “This came as a complete shock because I have not used any prohibited substances or broken any rules intentionally, and I work closely with them With my team to investigate how this happened.”

He concluded: “I know that I did not do anything wrong and I am still optimistic that I will return to the field soon. I cannot say more now because of the confidentiality of the process, but I will say that as soon as possible.”
