The Egyptian Ambassador, Ragy El Etreby, welcomes artist “SHO” at the Egyptian Embassy, where he extended his congratulations and expressed his full support, praising him as a distinguished Egyptian artistic figure who reflects a positive and honorable image of Egypt on the international stage. The recognition follows SHU’s achievement of major music and design awards in Japan.
This comes in the wake of the international success of the music video “CHARISMA,” performed by Egyptian singer and musician SHO, in collaboration with the creative team Tokyo Cosmo Cats. The project has earned multiple prestigious international awards in 2026, highlighting its excellence in visual design and multidisciplinary artistic expression.
The project received both the Platinum and Gold Awards in the Conceptual Design category at the Tokyo Design Awards 2026, announced in April. It further continued its global success by winning three awards at the MUSE Creative Awards 2026:
Platinum Award (Video – Art & Design)
Platinum Award (Video – Music Video)
Gold Award (Video – Cultural)
“CHARISMA” stands as a cross-cultural artistic project, blending elements of Japanese and Egyptian heritage through an innovative visual approach. The work delivers an integrated experience that merges music, cinema, and conceptual design into a single creative format. It has received international acclaim for its ability to present a compelling artistic vision that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries.
This achievement reflects the growing global presence of multidisciplinary artistic works and underscores the importance of cultural collaboration between Egypt and Japan in producing creative content capable of reaching worldwide audiences.
