Egypt’s banking sector will suspend operations across all banks operating in the country on Sunday and Monday, April 12–13, 2026, on the occasion of Easter and Sham El-Nessim holidays, according to an official announcement.
Normal working hours are scheduled to resume on Tuesday morning, April 14, 2026.
The decision applies to all banks nationwide, in line with the official public holiday calendar, which marks one of the country’s seasonal festive periods.
