Medical sources in the Gaza Strip said, "The operating rooms, intensive care units, and emergency rooms are experiencing catastrophic conditions, with an increase in serious injuries due to the ongoing and violent Israeli bombardment of various parts of the Gaza Strip."
The sources added, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), that the shortage of life-saving medicines, medical supplies, and diagnostic imaging equipment is preventing urgent surgical interventions for the wounded. They noted that community appeals for blood donations have become ineffective, with malnutrition worsening among citizens.
The sources explained that generators are operating on limited fuel reserves to supply vital departments with electricity.
Since October 7, 2023, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 54,510, the majority of whom are children and women, as a result of the Israeli occupation's aggression. The death toll has reached 124,901, while a number of victims remain under the rubble, unable to be reached by ambulances and civil defense teams.
