CAPMAS: Egypt's Exports Jump 49%

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said that the value of Egyptian exports jumped during 2021 compared to its predecessor by 48.8%, pointing out that exports amounted to $43.6 billion in 2021, while it recorded $29.3 billion in 2020.

It is noteworthy that the CAPMAS issued the monthly bulletin of foreign trade data for the month of October 2022, explaining that the value of the deficit in the trade balance for last October increased compared to the same month of 2021 by 21.1%, pointing out that the value of the deficit amounted to 3.58 billion dollars during October 2022. While it recorded $2.95 billion in October 2021.

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics stated that the value of Egyptian exports reached $30.5 billion in 2019, while it reached $29.3 billion in 2018, while it recorded $26.3 billion in 2017.

It stated that the value of Egyptian imports increased during 2021 compared to 2020, indicating that imports reached $89.2 billion in 2021, while they recorded $70.4 billion during 2020.

It added that the value of Egyptian imports amounted to 76.4 billion in 2019, while it recorded 81.9 billion dollars in 2018, while it reached 66.5 billion dollars in 2017.
