Palestinian political analyst Ayman El Rigib said Wednesday that storming the U.S. Capitol by protesters supporting President Donald Trump shows that the genuine face of the American People.
“Americans are barbarians pretending as a democratic people,” Rigib told SEE News.
The Palestinian politician added that pro-Trump protesters don’t accept the recent US election results, and this is a “coup against democracy.”
“I expect that the security forces will intervene to control this chaos before reaching other states,” he noted.
Rigib pointed out that “The US, which spread chaos in the world and the Middle East, is now witnessing the same chaos.”
Dozens of people breached security perimeters at the Capitol and lawmakers inside the House chamber were told to put on gas masks as tear gas was fired in the Rotunda, according to US media reports.
Pro-Trump protesters clashed with police and forced a delay in the constitutional process to affirm President-elect Joe Biden's win.
