Canada has allocated 500 million Canadian dollars (about 400 million US dollars) in military aid to Ukraine.
The Canadian Prime Minister's office announced this aid during Justin Trudeau's surprise visit to Ukraine today, Saturday, June 10 - according to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.
In its statement, the office stated that Canada is deeply committed to responding to the ongoing Russian war by continuing to provide military assistance, and therefore "we have allocated $ 500 million in new defense assistance to support the nation's ability to respond to Russian forces".
