Central agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics issued today “Annual Bulletin of Egyptians obtained approval for emigration & Egyptians Acquired another Nationality 2023”.
The most important statistical indicators are as follows: Total number of Egyptians obtained approval for emigration & Egyptians acquired emigration status reached 247 emigrants in 2023 (34 emigrants and 213 acquired emigration status), compared to 317 emigrants in 2022, a decrease by 22.1%.
Total number of Egyptians obtained approval for emigration & Egyptians acquired emigration status reached 247 (218 original emigrants by 88.3%, and 29 accompanied emigrants by 11.7%) in 2023.
Number of Egyptians obtained approval for emigration & Egyptians acquired emigration Status of males reached 220 male by 89.1%. Number of Egyptians obtained approval for emigration & Egyptians acquired emigration Status of females reached 27 female by 10.9%.
Italy came at the top with 83 emigrants by 33.6%, followed by USA with 61 emigrants by 24.7%, Then Canada with 59 migrants by 23.9% of the total number of Egyptians obtained approval for emigration & Egyptians acquired emigration status in 2023. Number of Egyptians obtained approval for emigration & Egyptians acquired emigration status at age group (35-40 years) reached 53 by 21.5%.
Emigrants with university degree ranked the first in terms of number of Egyptians obtained approval for emigration & Egyptians acquired emigration status at education age (10 years and over) reached 130 emigrants by 54.9 %.
The category of professionals occupied the largest share reached 103 emigrants by 44.4. % of number of Egyptians obtained approval for emigration & Egyptians acquired emigration Status. Number of Egyptians who acquired foreign nationalities reached 4418 Egyptians in 2023, compared to 3498 Egyptians in 2022, an increase by 26.3% (2921 Egyptians obtained naturalization permission while retaining Egyptian citizenship by 66% and 1497 Egyptians who obtained naturalization permission while not retaining Egyptian nationality by 34%).
