The Egyptian documentary film "Lift Like a Girl" by May Zeyyad won two CIFF prizes.
The first is the Isis Award for Best Egyptian Film Represents the Role of the Egyptian Woman, while the second is Youssef Sherif Rezkallah Audience Award.
May Zayyed announced that she will dedicate the cash prize to Captin Ramadan training place which is now run by Nahla Ramadan and Nihad Ramadan.
Cairo International Film Festival took place between 2 and 10 December. The festival witnessed the presence of more than 80 films.
Up to 10 Egyptian films participated at different CIFF competitions such as “Lift Like a Girl,” “Curfew” and “On the Fence.”
More than 30.000 tickets have been sold during the festival.
