Brazil will host the 11th BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Rio de Janeiro on April 28-29, 2025.
Ambassador Maurício Lyrio from the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that this high-level diplomatic gathering will be the first major ministerial meeting under Brazil’s BRICS presidency for 2025.
The expanded BRICS bloc now represents approximately 46% of global GDP and includes Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Ethiopia, Iran, and Indonesia.
Brazil assumed the rotating presidency on January 1, 2025, and is set to organize over 100 ministerial and technical meetings until July.
