A Sino-Brazilian joint statement was issued on Friday, following Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's visit to Beijing.
The joint statement said that the current international situation is changing and there is a need for serious work to promote common values.
Moreover, the statement added that the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation in various fields within the framework of the BRICS group.
Furthermore, the statement indicated that the only solution to the crisis in Ukraine is negotiations.
Both sides also called for more international efforts to promote a political settlement of the Ukraine crisis.
