European Union (EU) High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that the EU continues to facilitate the delivery of military aid to Ukraine.

This came during a phone call between Borell and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

Moreover, the EU official also added that he has agreed with the Ukrainian FM on the need to expedite the implementation of sanctions against Russia.

In addition, Borrell noted that the EU leaders will discuss ways to support the export of agricultural products from Ukraine and the impact of Russian aggression on global food security.

Earlier, Borrell stressed that Europe is facing “the most serious security crisis since World War II”, against the backdrop of the situation in Ukraine.

“No one doubts this. Europe is in danger,” Borrell said during a conference in Madrid, Spain.

Moreover, he called for an increase in defense spending by EU member states, noting that the issue of creating a joint European army was not being considered in the near future.
