Heidi Grant, vice president of Boeing's business development, lauded the International Air Power Symposium, held at Egypt's Air Force Headquarters in Cairo; noting that Egypt is a "valuable member."
"It's the most prestigious event in the region," Grant said.
The Air Force organized the event under the title “Emerging Challenges.”
"When it comes to the Middle East … this region is of strategic importance to us in terms of growth, partnership, investments and most importantly, presence,” Grant said while delivering keynote remarks at the Egypt Air Power Symposium.

Moreover, India's Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari is on a five-day visit to attend the Air Power Symposium and Defence Exposition (EDEX) in Cairo.
“Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari CAS will be embarking on a 5-day visit to attend the Egypt Air Power Symposium & Defence Exposition (EDEX) scheduled from 28 Nov to 02 Dec. He will deliver a keynote address on “Strategic air intelligence in confronting new and non-organised threats,” Indian Air Force tweeted.

It's noteworthy that, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Abbas Helmy, Commander of the Air Force, welcomed all the delegations participating in the symposium held on Sunday.
Abbas stressed the importance of organizing such events in communication and providing a fertile environment for the exchange of experiences that contribute to keeping pace with the successive developments in the field of aviation technology and sciences to confront potential threats.
