US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, on Thursday, expressed his solidarity with Slovakia over the incident of the attempted assassination of Slovak Prime Minister, Robert Fico.
A statement on the official website of the US State Department said that Blinken had a telephone call with the Slovak Foreign Minister, Juraj Planar, following the assassination attempt on Prime Minister Robert Fico.
The statement added that the US Secretary of State expressed his solidarity with Slovakia and his wishes for a speedy recovery to the Prime Minister.
Blinken stressed the deep ties between the US and Slovak peoples, condemning political violence in all its forms.
