The White House announced that U.S. President Joe Biden will host British Prime Minister Keir Starmer tomorrow, Wednesday, for a bilateral meeting to discuss a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
The White House added - in a statement on its website - that Biden looks forward to his first meeting with Prime Minister Starmer and will emphasize the importance of continuing to strengthen the special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.
Moreover, it noted that "the two leaders will have the opportunity to discuss U.S.-British cooperation in-depth across a range of issues, including supporting Ukraine, enhancing a free and open Indo-Pacific region, reaching a ceasefire and agreement on the release of detainees in Gaza, and ensuring that Iran cannot obtain a nuclear weapon."
The statement also pointed out that the leaders will address "strengthening the alliance to confront Houthi threats," stressing that they "will discuss enhancing our bilateral cooperation in areas such as protecting advanced technologies and developing climate and clean energy solutions."
