US President Joe Biden directed US relief agencies to provide possible aid to affected areas in n Syria and Turkey as a result of the earthquake that struck both countries.
The White House said in a statement today, Monday, that the United States is deeply saddened by the devastating earthquake that hit today in Turkey and Syria.
According to the Syrian News Agency, the Syrian Ministry of Health announced 111 deaths and 516 injuries in the governorates of Aleppo, Latakia, Hama, and Tartus as a result of the devastating earthquake.
In Turkey nearly 200 were killed as a result of the 7.7 magnitude quake that hit the country today at dawn.
