Ingredients

* 1 cup of butter cubes

* 1 minced onion

* 1 tablespoon of minced garlic

* 1 (15 ounces) of canned tomato sauce

* 3 cups of heavy cream

* 2 teaspoons of salt

* 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

* 1 teaspoon garam masala

* 500 grams of boneless chicken breast (cut into bite-sized chunks)

* 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

* 2 tablespoons of tandoori masala

Method

Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion and garlic. Then, cook slowly for about 15 minutes until the onion caramelizes to a dark brown.

Combine cream, tomato sauce, remaining butter, salt, cayenne pepper, and garam masala in a saucepan over medium-high heat.

Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and leave it for another 30 minutes, stirring once in a while.

Stir in caramelized onions and when the sauce is simmering, toss chicken with vegetable oil until coated. Season with tandoori masala and spread out onto a baking sheet.

Bake chicken in the preheated oven until no longer pink in the center for nearly 12 minutes. Add the cooked chicken to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes before serving.
