At least six people were killed and several injured on Saturday when a fire broke out following an explosion at an oxygen plant in southeastern Bangladesh, officials said.
They added that the death toll could rise as the rescue operation continues at the factory in Sitakunda, 40 km from the southeastern port city of Chittagong.
A fire service official said it was not immediately clear what caused the explosion.
"Six bodies have been recovered from the site," a local government official, Shahadat Hossain, told Reuters, adding that the rescue operation was continuing.
Police official Nayhanul Bari, quoting eyewitnesses, stated that a huge boom shook an area with a radius of up to two km.
