Aya Samaha Lands First Lead Film Role

Egyptian actress Aya Samaha has been cast in her first lead film role in the comedy film "Wadaan Hamdy". 

Shereen Reda will also star in the pic. Principal photography is set to begin soon.

Samaha made her last onscreen appearance in the film "Ala Mashi".

The cast also includes Ali Rabee, Karim Afifi, Salah Abdallah, Abdullah Mishref, Entsar, and more.

Mohammed Al-Khaibari directed the film from a script by Ahmed Abdel-Wahab, Karim Samy also known as Kemz, and ‎Hadeer El-Sherif‎. "Ala Mashi" screened during the Eid Al-Fitr movie marathon.

Samaha, born on March 31, 1992, started her acting career with the 2016 film "Hepta: The Last Lecture" and received more onscreen time in the 2016 mystery TV series "Grand Hotel".

In 2020, she starred in Netfix's series "Paranormal", based on Ahmed Khaled Tawfik's supernatural novel "Ma Waraa Al Tabiaa".

Her TV credits also include "Malika", "Rageen Ya Hawa", "Seeb Wana Aseeb", "El Soffara", and “Ala Bab Al-Omara”.
