Zamalek have completed the signing of Moroccan forward Mohamed Ounajem and Ismaily Keeper Mohamed Awad from Wydad AC and Ismaily SC on Wednesday.

"Ounajem signed a three-year contract with the Whites for $1.5 million," a source in Zamalek board of directors told Yallakora, speaking on condition of anonymity.

"Zamalek forward Kabongo Kasongo will go on a one-year loan to Wydad as a part of Ounajem deal," the source added.

"Awad completed the White Knights' switch in a deal worth up to EGP 35 million, in addition to a swap deal, which included the signing of Ahmed Madbouli, Mahmoud Abdel-Aty Donga to Ismaily," the source noted.

Zamalek president Mortada Mansour is set to hold a meeting later on Wednesday to announce Zamalek's deal during this summer transfers.

Earlier this month, Moroccan striker Achraf Benchmark signed a three-year contract with the Whites. The Whites failed to claim the Egyptian Premier League this season as they finished second with 72 points.

In May, Zamalek managed to win the Confederation Cup for the first time in their history after securing a victory in a dramatic penalty shootout against RS Berkane at Burj Al Arab Stadium (5-3).

They will play against Dekedaha on Sunday, 11 August in the preliminary stage of CAF Champions League(CL).0
