Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, with his counterparts from Slovakia Ivan Korcok and the Czech Republic Jan Libavsky, will visit eastern Ukraine and the capital, Kiev, for two days.
"The three ministers are scheduled to hold several meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in order to send a strong message about Central Europe's solidarity with the government in light of the current escalation of tensions in the Ukraine crisis," the Austrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"Even if Austria is militarily neutral, we are not neutral towards violence... When it comes to the territorial integrity of a sovereign state we will never remain silent, but we will always defend it," said Austria's foreign minister.
