Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Enverovych Umerov discussed with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in detail the planning of Ukraine's defense needs.
In a post on Facebook, Omerov posted, "In the last two days I spent several hours in discussions with our US partners, and communicated extensively with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in a bilateral format. We had a detailed conversation about planning Ukraine's defense needs," according to Ukrainian news agency “Ukrinform”.
The Ukrainian Defense Minister expressed his thanks to the United States (US) for its strong support for Ukraine.
The meeting of Omerov and Austin in Germany comes after the 20th session of the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group, which was held at the US military air base Ramstein, with the participation of defense ministers and senior military officials from about 50 countries.
