On Saturday, Memphis authorities announced that at least two people were killed and 14 others were injured in a shooting incident during a block party shooting in Memphis, Tennessee.

The police said, in a post on X, that 3 of the injured were taken to hospitals in critical condition, while 11 others received treatment at emergency departments in private vehicles.

Police believed at least two people opened fire at the party, where about 300 people were at the gathering, Memphis Police Chief C.J. Davis said.

No suspects were in custody as of Saturday night, police said, and the motives of the shooting are still.

Davis highlighted that the investigation into the shooting is ongoing, adding that the department received video footage from the scene.

He concluded: “We are working tirelessly tonight to identify the individuals who were involved in this shooting."
